Your questions about law of attraction quotes

Carol asks…

What are your thoughts on the “law” of attraction?

I put law in quotes because technically it isn’t a law but I still find it interesting.

Clive answers:

Thankfully, emotional debts don’t accrue interest in quite the same way as the financial kind. Otherwise, we would never be free. You are now a little too keenly conscious of what you are owed and what may be owing to you. Make fewer calculations. Be more relaxed. Just do what feels right in your heart and never mind what your head says. Allow someone else the freedom to do the same. Then, slowly, all that now seems so complicated and uncomfortable will resolve itself amicably and easily.

Thomas asks…

Past greats who used the Law of Attraction?

Ok i watched the movie The Secret, and i beleive in the law of attraction thing now. It really all makes sense why optimists are better people than pessimests. And i do think there is some scientific basis behind this.

Now it mentions that a lot of people in the past have used it. I mean it takes a bunch of quotes from very successful people and makes you realize them.

Now what are some people that used it. I was thinking mabye past conquerers like the Romans or Napoleon or alexander the great or even Divinci.

Did they all use this power too?

Clive answers:

I would say yes they used the power, as everyone uses the Law of Attraction. Some recognize they are using it, as in The Secret, some don’t. But we all attract to us those things that vibrational frequencies match our own. My father used to say, “We make our own luck”. With this belief system, he was using it by believing “luck” was based on what you wanted to happen. This was even though had never even heard of the Law of Attraction.

Mandy asks…

What do people think about this ‘Law of Attraction’ as described in The Secret dvd?

They quote several great thinkers who also seemed to believe in this law of attraction.

It claims that we attract everything that happens to us and if we know how to use it, we can attract anything that we desire.

Clive answers:

It is just a remake of positive thinking, they are just using different wording to make money, as if someone really has a secret, basically it is hogwash. They just had a news article about a woman that said she was going to follow the law of attraction she had cancer and refused help, she believed if she only thought she did not have cancer she wouldn’t, well she died. That woman that wrote the book won’t even do interviews any more, and Oprah has come under fire for promoting it. It was just a fad, I wish I had thought of it, I would be filthy rich. They all have their money now, so they are not talking about it so much anymore.

James asks…

The secret – The law of attraction..?

Would you please help me understand the secret, that is, the law of attraction..I am sick of reading the same paragraphs and the same lines quoted on every site about it. So please explain it to me in a way it seems simple or something.
Thanks

Clive answers:

Unfortunately, there are many cut-and-paste artists out there who all ‘reveal’ key reports or ask you to buy a book or watch a video, or send them money when it comes to the Law of Attraction.

There’s one thing you need to know about virtually every “guru” out there: they all read “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill (it’s a free ebook available at many websites) and it changed their lives and turned them into the Law of Attraction coach they are now. It’s not a promise book or a slick video, but it’s THE book that first laid out the ideas behind the Law of Attraction. My advice would be: go to the source. Read Hill’s book; if it changed everyone else’s life then it should do the same for you, right?

The Law of Attraction boils down to this:

Figure out what it is you want (be specific; not “I want a better life” or other nonsense like that, but “I want a pepperoni pizza” kind of walk-up-and-touch-it kind of specific).

Ask for what you want.

Know you’re going to get it (don’t ‘believe’ you’re going to get it, or ‘wish’ that you could get it, KNOW you’re getting it).

Look for the opportunities to achieve what you want (it might be as obvious as your friend asking over for pizza, or as random as getting a coupon for a free pizza in the mail, or even finding $5 outside a Little Caeser’s Pizza when they’re selling pizza for $4.99), and follow them.

Accept it.

Rinse and repeat.

Linda asks…

law of attraction? what do you think about it?

i think it’s really bullshlt, you focus on what you want and act as if you already have it, and it comes there eventually? or you fulfill your needs first before you fulfill others, because sacrifice wont benefit everyone, where as filling up your stomach will make you strong to find food for others, rather than going without food? i found it in the book The Secret that my aunt was reading, and being raised in a christian household and going to church i would think sacrifice is important, as well as helping out others as much as yourself. i’m not sure i’m quoting the book exactly, but if you’ve read it before, what do you think?

law of attraction states if you want a husband, park on one side of the garage, clear out some space in your closet, sleep on one side of the bed, make breakfast for 2 each morning–overall in general act as you are married. and baam it will come. i don’t get it

Clive answers:

Total mumbo jumbo. Think about it : if this were true, starving kids would only have to think positive thoughts about food and act like they weren’t really hungry to get their bellies filled. Pfffttt.
