Buffet doesn’t make much of his money in the stock market. Buffett has made a few well publicized stock purchases. He has also made some privately negotiated purchases of preferred stock and bonds not available to the general public. But the the biggest thing he does is to buy small businesses, usually privately held, and merge them into Berkshire, and run them as operating companies.
